Raahat : Eid al-Fitr ,"festival of breaking of the fast", also called Feast of Breaking the Fast, the Sugar Feast, Bayram (Bajram), the Sweet Festival and the Lesser Eid, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm).

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe a strict fast and participate in pious activities such as charitable giving and peace-making. It is a time of intense spiritual renewal for those who observe it.

Before the day of Eid, during the last few days of Ramadan, each Muslim family gives a determined amount as a donation to the poor. This donation is of actual food -- rice, barley, dates, rice, etc. -- to ensure that the needy can have a holiday meal and participate in the celebration. This donation is known as sadaqah al-fitr (charity of fast-breaking).

Eid ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion with important religious significance, celebrating the achievement of enhanced piety. It is a day of forgiveness, moral victory, peace of congregation, fellowship, brotherhood and unity.

A pleasant experience shared by a very sentient volunteer,HIMANSHU KUMAR GUPTA (LNCT,Batch 2010-2014)

I live a life which is totally different from my life,those moments which I spend with these kids.Really, it's a very nice and beautiful experience of my life.
I will always miss all the kids of UMEED and EK JUT.
Thanks to our senior sir who started this club and thanks to our president SAKSHI for continuing this club and I hope that our juniors will continue this till long and will take it to new heights!

RAAHAT , you are really a change maker, not only for those little kids and old persons but also for us who are connected with you!

HAPPY GURU PURNIMA !!!! :)

Raahat : Guru Purnima is an Indian festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers. This festival traditionally celebrated by Hindus and Buddhists, to thank their teachers. It is marked by ritualistic respect to the guru, Guru Puja. The Guru Principle is said to be a thousand times more active on the day of Gurupournima than on any other day. The word guru is derived from two words, gu and ru. The Sanskrit root gu means darkness or ignorance, and ru denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore, a guru is one who removes the darkness of our ignorance.

It falls on the day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh (June–July) of the Shaka Samvat, Indian national calendar and Hindu calendar.

"The union of love in the hearts of the Guru, disciple, and the spiritual family gathered is so powerful and unique that it further deeply attracts and pulls the very presence of the Guru of all Gurus—God himself. He cannot remain aloof."

AN ULTIMATE JOURNEY!


मैंने यह अदभुत यात्रा 2nd वर्ष में शुरू की थी। मुझे तब शायद ठीक से मालूम भी नहीं था की "राहत" किस चीज के लिए काम करता है। जब अपने सीनियर्स के साथ जब विजिट पे गया तब जाकर पता चला और फिर हमेसा जाया करता था। मेरे जाने की बस एक वजह थीं की में ऊन बच्चोँ क़े साथ वक़्त गुजारु जिनकों प्यार की ज़रूरत है। कितना भी बिजी रहू थोड़ा वक़्त निकल लेते थे। मुझे बच्चो के नजदीक आने का जैसे वक़्त मिला में उनके नजदीक आता गया।मैंने जब ज्वाइन किया था तब संख्या कम थीं पर जब में 4th वर्ष में गया तब इसकी सँख्या इतनी थी की मीटिँग में लोग क़ो जग़ह नही मिलती थीं। मैं कामना करूँगा की इसकी ताकात औऱ बढ़े। अब वक़्त मेरे जाने का है दुःख है की इस "राहत" के विजिट में अब नई जा सकूंगा पर ख़ुशी हैं की अब कोइ नया इसकों संभालेगा और नई ऊचांई तक़ लें जायेंगे।मेरे साथी लोगो ने भी बहूत मदद की हैं में उनका शुक्रिया अदा करता हू। मैं चाहूँगा की और ज्यादा से लोग जुड़े।

HAPPY NATIONAL DOCTOR'S DAY!!!

Raahat : Happy National Doctor's Day!!!

Doctor stands for:

D-Dawn of relief
O-Obliging
C-Caring
T-Tolerant
O-Omniscient 
R-Reasonable

Also celebrated on July 1 all across India to honor the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. He was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962, aged 80 years. Dr Roy was honored with the country's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna on February 4, 1961.

Every year this holiday is celebrated in India on the 1st of July. This observance fulfills a need to show the doctors and physicians in our lives how important they are to us and how invaluable their treatments are that cure us. The celebrations are indicative of the respect that they command in the lives of their patients and thus obligate them to fulfill their responsibilities as well.

It must be a very proud moment for all of us. Chasing a dream requires our efforts and passion. Hard work isn't over when we graduated. It's just a break as we enter the new battlefields of life. Good luck and congratulations!

You truly deserve the success! I'm sure that on your graduation day you feel a lot smarter. In my message I wish you to set your goals high, and won't stop till you get there!
But there's a lot more to come: goals, challenges, and opportunities!

A person who graduates from college, has to prepare for the new challenges waiting in the new chapter of life. Learning every day is the key to success! Someone as special as you has the ability to create a beautiful world of tomorrow. Anything is possible when you just believe in yourself!
