Wonderful Experience shared by Saurabh Amrit (3rd yr volunteer)!

12th may 2013.. I still remember the day when I had my first visit with Raahat to 'UMEED'.
At that time, we were only around 10 there..!!

And now we are more than 200. This is not a nightmare..
It is so, because the team is working good with mutual coordination. I must like to thank Sakshi Kwatra Ma'am, Ritu Raj Sir, Shailendra  Vishwakarma Sir and all those who have worked together for taking Raahat to next level..

I personally have enormous heart touching experiences. Especially when we use to go to old age homes, then geting smile on the faces not only gives happiness to me but also gives satisfaction that yes I am doing anything good..!!
It is quite easy to fund anyone if you are having money but happiness and smiles can't be bought, and RAAHAT is doing appreciably well...!! :-)

A heartfelt experience shared by a second year student!

At last visit of bhel park, I was just standing with the children after taking the attendance. Then a little girl from Ek Jut named Rukmini offered me her icecream and asked me that, " harry bhaiya ye ap le lo. Maine bola mai dusari le lunga tum kha lo." Then she replied ap lijie na mujhe nhi pasand icecream. Then I took that icecream from her as she was insisting so much. Then she asked bhaiya ab hum kbi mil nhi paenge. Maine pucha kyu..to she told ki mai ye hostel chod rahi ho..aur aplog naye wale me aoge nhi islie..these words just attacked me on my heart..how a small kid is so attached to us..even when we have no relation with them. Mai bhut dukhi b ho gaya tha ye bat sunkar bt maine bola ki tum jaha jaogi ham waha aa jaya karenge..tumhe dhundh lenge..bt fir ye us ke dil ko chu gayi thi.. Wo b bahut emotional ho gayi thi..

This incident was so heart touching for me and made me nostalgic,that for a moment all the memories that I had cherished with these kids together till now came to my mind and I didn't wanted to leave them.
This incident inspires me to do a lot more for these kids!

Certificate is more important or serving the underprivileged unconditionally?

One thing I never understand with the volunteers, though once I also had the same thoughts. Answer yourself "For what purpose are you in Raahat?"

for certificate or for social welfare. Let your heart give an answer, don't involve brain here. Being here for a social cause then its really a god-like thing, but for certificate, then friends its an infatuation. I wish to collect some photographs, stories from here and will try to make a movie, may be then you may not run for certificates.

P.S. I am not against certificate distribution. You all will get it. But think of the purpose why you join Raahat. I would love to hear from you people.
