HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY!

REPUBLIC DAY:

Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.

The Constitution was passed by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 but was adopted on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country's transition toward becoming an independent republic. 26 January was selected for this purpose because it was this day in 1930 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress.

The main Republic Day celebration is held in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the President of India. On this day, ceremonious parades take place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India.Republic Day represents the true spirit of independent India. Flag hoisting ceremony, Military Parades, display of military equipments are the moments that the people of India cherish on every Republic Day.

Tricolor flag or Tiranga of India :
It symbolizes the sovereignty and spirit of a democratic nation. Saffron (Kesaria) color: denotes renunciation or disinterestedness

White color in the centre: represents the path of truth to guide nation's conduct

Green color: shows the relation of India with soil, on which all other life depends.
Ashok Chakra in the centre of white is the wheel of the law of Dharma, Truth or Stya.

The whole nation stands together and remembers the day of national pride with great zeal so rather than spending a day in leisure or treating it as just another day of holiday let us come together and look beyond the virtuosity.

Let us not just raise the flag, distribute sweets, go on parades and listen to the speeches delivered by the acknowledged. But let us celebrate the date knowing the true meaning and essence of the Indian Republic day.Rather we must learn, study and understand the most important document of the Indian society, adhere to the rules and recognize the fundamental rights because
Only NATIONALISM CAN KEEP India UNITED & BRING PEACE and PROSPERITY to the Nation.

Happy REPUBLIC DAY to each and every member of Raahat Team!

The word Milad has been derived from "viladut" which means birth. Therefore, according to Arabic language, Milad is word which signifies the place and time of birth. In the light of Shariah, we means, Milad is to remember the events which took place at the birth time of the Holy Prophet and we get the opportunity of narrating the Seerat of the Prophet on this occasion, we also present the Holy Prophet gifts of Durood -o- salam. It is incumbent for scholars to teach Muslims nations on this Holy occasion, moral behavior of the Holy Prophet,His antiquates, His affairs, His Seerat, His dealings and His worships.

Those who observe Milad-un-Nabi gatherings remember, discuss and celebrate the advent of the Prophet Muhammad's birth and his teachings. Some people send Milad-un-Nabi e-cards to friends and family. Many Sunni Muslims celebrate this event on the 12th of the Islamic month of Rabi' al-awwal, while the Shi'a community celebrates it on the 17th of Rabi' al-awwal.

Many activities include:

HAPPY MAKARA SANKRANTI !!!

MAKARA SANKRANTI

Makara Sankranti is one of the most auspicious occasions for the Hindus, and is celebrated in almost all parts of India and Nepal in a myriad of cultural forms, with great devotion, fervour, and gaiety. It is a harvest festival.

Makara means Capricorn Zodiac Sign and Sankranti means transition of the Sun from one zodiac sign to another. Thus Makar Sankranti is the day that marks the transition of the Sun into Makara rashi (Capricorn) on its celestial path. The day is also believed to mark the arrival of spring in India and this is regarded as the beginning of an auspicious phase in Indian culture. It is said as the 'holy phase of transition'. It marks the end of an inauspicious phase.Scientifically, this day marks the beginning of warmer and longer days compared to the nights.

Makara Sankranti is a solar event making it perhaps the only Indian festival whose date always falls on the same date on Gregorian calender every year: 14 January, with some exceptions, when the festival is celebrated on 13 January or 15 January.

According to Puranas, on the day of Makara Sankranthi, God Sun pays visit to the house of his son Shani (Saturn) who is the swami of makar Rashi (Capricorn Zodiac sign).
Makara Sankranti is the day when the Sun begins its movement away from the Tropic of Capricorn and towards the northern hemisphere and this period from Makara Sankranthi to Karka Sankranthi is known as uttarayan (northward revolution).

Kite flying is another aspect of the festival that marks the beginning of a new year. The message intended is, "Rise higher like the kite'.

As bulls signify the harvest season, they are treated with respect and decorated with garlands and prayed to. Major cattle fairs and other melas are held at different places.People exchange till ladoos. The essential concept in the exchange of sweets is to disregard the precedent ill-feelings & conflict and decide to create a friendly atmosphere around. This festival goes on for ten days with feasting, boat races, songs and dance being major part of the festival.

To Hindus, the Sun stands for knowledge, spiritual light and wisdom. Makara Sankranti signifies that we should turn away from the darkness of delusion in which we live, and begin to enjoy a new life with bright light within us to shine brighter and brighter. We should gradually begin to grow in purity, wisdom and knowledge even as the Sun does from the Day of Makara Sankranti. With this spirit ,we wish each and every member of Raahat team a very HAPPY MAKARA SANKRANTI !!!
